Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Blueprint Reading
  • Precision Tools and Measuring
  • Demonstrate ability to read and understand TK prints for specific department.
  • Demonstrate ability to use measuring equipment for specific department.
  • Take Minimum Qualifications Test with a desired score of 70% or better.
  • Demonstrate ability to set-up and run basic operations with assistance
  • Successful completion of introductory period (6 months)
  • Understands, accepts, and supports vision and key business goals
  • Supports and demonstrates a well-organized, safe and clean workplace
  • Basic understanding, support and commitment to the team and continuous improvement
  • Resolves the problems at the lowest level possible

Responsibilities

  • Set-up and operate various machines and equipment to cut, bend, shape, shear, punch, drill, and/or test raw materials, parts, components and/or assemblies.
  • Demonstrate ability to set-up and run basic operations with assistance: Press brakes, CNC punches, and laser machines (if applicable).
  • Demonstrate ability to make proper adjustments on related machinery and/or equipment with assistance.
  • Demonstrate ability to produce quality parts within acceptable scrap rate.
  • Able to identify and troubleshoot problems with parts being produced with assistance, while meeting the productivity requirements for the department.
  • Have a basic understanding of documentation (examples include ISO, Windchill, Kanban, and TKSs).
