This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. 3M HEBRON is seeking a candidate for ELASTOMER GRINDING OPERATOR. As an ELASTOMER GRINDING OPERATOR, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Supporting manufacturing operations by executing processes and initiatives that drive product quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Developing technical knowledge and operational expertise to support training and mentoring opportunities as experience is gained. Participating in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities to support production and engineering objectives. Identifying opportunities for process improvements and contributing ideas through continuous improvement and employee suggestion programs. Following established work instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety requirements while maintaining product quality standards. Responsibilities of this position include that corporate policies, procedures and security standards are complied with while performing assigned duties. Safety is a core value at 3M. Requirements

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this 3M Production role, in compliance with U.S. labor and safety laws.
  • High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment
  • Training or experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience participating in Kaizen events or continuous improvement initiatives
  • Previous Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) and/or forklift operating experience
  • Experience operating grinding, extrusion, or similar manufacturing equipment
  • Experience following standard operating procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements in a manufacturing environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Responsibilities
