About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator for our 2nd shift, which runs from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday overtime required. This role offers a competitive hourly wage of $21, plus a $2/hour shift differential. We pride ourselves on a great work environment, excellent pay, and fantastic benefits. The primary responsibilities involve operating machinery to produce finished goods, ensuring efficiency and quality, and performing various manufacturing tasks. You will also be responsible for equipment adjustments, mounting tooling, conducting quality checks, maintaining documentation, and ensuring the proper upkeep of machinery. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to safety and product quality.

Requirements

Standing for long periods of time
Ability to read a tape measure
Bending, lifting, twisting on a continuous basis
Ability to lift 70 lbs
Ability to clearly communicate with material handlers, other employees and managers as needed
Attention to detail and high level of numerical accuracy
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Able to troubleshoot and problem solve
Ability to clearly differentiate colors

Nice To Haves

Manufacturing experience
Experience assisting on multi color flexographic press is preferred
Basic Computer skills preferred

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean and safe work area
Responsible for Machine Operation to produce finished goods
Operate in their responsibility to maintain efficiency and quality
Perform a variety of manufacturing tasks using production equipment to ensure steady workflow
Perform equipment adjustments
Mounting of cutting dies, print plates, and any other tooling required for each job
Perform quality checks prior to each job assigned and during the production run
Maintain documented checklist for quality checks, ink monitoring, and clean up
Keep machine setup and run times at maximum efficiency
Help troubleshoot any quality or machine issues as they occur
Ensure that the equipment is properly maintained, notifying Maintenance and Supervisors of any issues that occur
Perform daily and detailed weekly cleanup in accordance with the cleanup checklist
Identify, and report any damaged tooling that needs repair
Identify product safety concerns and report them to your supervisor
Maintain proper production reporting
Other duties as determined by Plant Superintendent, Shift Supervisor or Shift Lead
