About The Position

Apogee Architectural Metals is hiring temporary production employees to fill 1st and 2nd shift positions at our Monett, MO location! This role involves setting up and operating production machinery in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. The operator will use computer-controlled equipment to select, position, and secure machines, controlling and adjusting machine settings to complete tasks accurately and efficiently. The position requires cross-training to support all Operator I roles.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to use and accurately read measuring devices (tape measures).
Ability to use hand tools (hammer, wrench, level, etc.).
Ability to follow blueprints.
Ability to read and interpret Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
Ability to use a computer with basic proficiency (data entry).

Responsibilities

Basic operation of simple machinery and equipment, such as presses, lathes, or cutters.
Ability to follow standardized procedures for setting up and operating machines.
Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating machines.
Familiarity with reading simple work orders or production instructions.
Producing and ensuring product meets or exceeds established product specifications.
Attention to detail to ensure machine operation is accurate and products meet basic quality standards.
Basic problem-solving ability to identify and report machine malfunctions.
Must be cross-trained and able to support all Operator I roles.
