About The Position

The machine operator is responsible for operating one or more types of computer numeric controlled production equipment. This role involves selecting appropriate settings and adjusting them as necessary to control and adjust machine settings to complete simple tasks accurately, according to specifications, and timely. The operator will load and unload material to and from equipment, inspect parts using precision measuring tools and for visual defects and certification marks, and maintain cleanliness of machines and work area throughout and at the end of the shift. This position requires adherence to all safe work practices and safety rules, following established quality standards, and collaborating with team members, leaders, and others to troubleshoot and resolve problems. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years working in a manufacturing environment, specifically operating CNC equipment.
  • Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, quality documents, set-up, and work instructions.
  • Able to fill out charts and other simple documents and to successfully connect with team members.
  • Ability to use computer terminals; gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
  • Ability to perform each crucial duty satisfactorily.
  • Ability to meet the knowledge, skill, and/or ability requirements for the job.

  • Cleaning machines & work area throughout and at the end of shift.
  • Following all safe work practices & safety rules.
  • Following established quality standards.
  • Working collaboratively with team members, leaders, and others to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
