About The Position

A machine operator is responsible for setting up and operating rotational mold machines for producing a wide array of plastic products. Job duties include weighing and charging molds with plastic raw material, demolding products after each cycle with the help of jib cranes and impact wrenches, checking the quality of the parts produced and post-process trimming and assembly.

Nice To Haves

  • On the job training and instruction provided! No prior rotomolding experience is required
  • Prior experience with other forms of machine operation-helpful but not required
  • Willing to provide suggestions to improve production

Responsibilities

  • Setting up and operating rotational mold machines
  • Weighing and charging molds with plastic raw material
  • Demolding products after each cycle using jib cranes and impact wrenches
  • Checking the quality of the parts produced
  • Post-process trimming and assembly
  • Putting molds onto the rotational mold shuttle and removing them
  • Cleaning molds using a vacuum cleaner, brushes, pads, cleaning solvents or scrapers
  • Applying mold release agent to the inner walls of the molds
