Machine Operator - Manufacturing – Full Time – Newbern, TN 38059 (Stuffer/Set-Up – Links Days)
About The Position
Set up equipment in preparation for startup, casing selection, maintaining weight control, product appearance, while adhering to good safety practices, food safety policies, and company policies. Fill and load casing. Maintain weight control and eliminating defects. Must be willing and able to work on and around machinery and chemicals. Perform various other tasks as assigned by Lead person, Supervisor or Superintendent. ALL employees are responsible for upholding principles of SQF 2000. Familiar with the safe operation of production line conveyor equipment. Must be willing and able to do basic math skills and ability to become certified in Lock Out tag Out Program. Must be willing and able to communicate effectively with company employees and all levels of management. Must be willing and able to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit temperature for minimum of 8 hours. Must be willing and able to pinch/grip product and place into specified location. Must be willing and able to perform the following task for periods of 8 hours on concrete floor, some of which may include but is not limited to bending, twisting, reaching, standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting. Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
Requirements
- 6 months of continuous employment in the last 18 months of relevant machine operator, warehouse, agricultural or production experience
- Ability to become certified in Lock Out tag Out Program
