About The Position
The Machine Operator keeps production machinery running during their shift and produces items that meet established specifications, with a focus on safety, quality, and housekeeping. The role includes operating and monitoring machines, maintaining production efficiency and scrap levels, performing quality inspections and documentation, and troubleshooting mechanical and process issues.
Responsibilities
- Ensure machines function safely in accordance with GMP and housekeeping standards.
- Understand bottle quality requirements and document those requirements.
- Maintain production machine efficiency and scrap levels in line with company goals.
- Communicate machine-, process-, and quality-related issues effectively.
- Diagnose problems and troubleshoot tasks logically.
- Follow directions from supervisors and managers.
- Perform color changes when required.
- Perform minor preventive maintenance on machines during the shift.
- Complete quality inspections and record them in statistical process control software.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and process issues related to specific plant processes.
- Perform additional assigned duties as needed to support the plant.
