About The Position

In September 2022, Stellar Manufacturing was acquired by Leslie's as an affiliate. Stellar Manufacturing is a contract manufacturer of solid particle products and specializes in chemical processing services such as specialty tableting, compaction granulation, and granular filling. We support the manufacturing of a variety of consumer and industrial products including water treatment chemicals, janitorial and sanitation products, agrochemicals, raw materials, and more. We are looking for a Machine Operator to join our 2nd Shift team and support production operations for our King Technology lines. This role will be responsible for safely operating manufacturing equipment, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring production goals are met. This position was created to support increased production needs as we continue expanding operations. The Machine Operator will help operate multiple production lines across two shifts, ensuring we continue delivering high-quality products safely and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and understand work orders, production documents, and written instructions
  • Ability to accurately record production information and complete required documentation
  • Basic math skills including counting, measuring, and calculating production quantities
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues and identify potential problems
  • Comfortable working around manufacturing equipment and various chemicals
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including respirators when necessary
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous manufacturing, machine operation, or production experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate King Technology production lines and manufacturing equipment
  • Follow work orders and production instructions to ensure products are manufactured according to specifications
  • Set up equipment, verify lot codes, and complete product changeovers as needed
  • Monitor equipment operation and make minor adjustments to maintain production efficiency
  • Troubleshoot routine equipment issues and partner with Maintenance when needed
  • Perform blending, packaging, filling, pouching, and production operations following established procedures
  • Inspect products throughout the production process to ensure quality, packaging, labeling, and specifications are met
  • Package, label, stack, and prepare finished products for shipment
  • Maintain accurate production records, checklists, and downtime documentation
  • Keep production lines supplied with raw materials and components
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout the shift
  • Follow all PPE, chemical handling, labeling, and safety requirements
  • Assist with training new team members and support a positive, safety-focused work environment
  • Communicate effectively during shift handoffs to ensure smooth production transitions
  • Recommend improvements to production methods, equipment performance, and product quality
  • Perform other duties as assigned
