Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience operating machines in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
  • Strong understanding of machining techniques, tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Basic math skills and the ability to use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and ability to follow instructions carefully.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a variety of CNC machines.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate machine setups and operations.
  • Set up and adjust machines according to job requirements and quality standards.
  • Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as needed.
  • Inspect finished products for quality and ensure they meet specifications.
  • Adhere to safety standards and practices to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of machine settings, production numbers, and maintenance activities.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to meet production goals and deadlines.
