About The Position

Thompson Pipe Group is looking for a Production Machine Operator for their facility. This role is responsible for operating production machines to produce concrete products. The company is a privately held family business that has grown to be the largest and most diverse pipe provider in North America.

Requirements

Experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment required
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety procedures, machine operating and maintenance instructions
Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in all aspects of the position
Current Driver’s License
Must be able to perform basic math
Must be able to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection
Must be able to sit and operate equipment for long periods up to 10+ hours per day

Nice To Haves

Experience in the precast concrete/pipe manufacturing industry preferred
High School Diploma or GED equivalency preferred
Bilingual a plus

Responsibilities

Operate equipment (MBK, Packerhead, Vibromac) efficiently to produce concrete products from raw material to yard stage
Inspect the quality of products according to standards
Assist in maintaining accurate and timely production goals
Monitor the operations of machinery and associated equipment and report any concerns or malfunctions
Perform machine set-up and clean-up and other functions associated with job changes
Maintain housekeeping in assigned area
Cross train on other aspects of production process
Perform other duties as assigned
