About The Position

Essity is a global leader in health and hygiene. This role involves operating and supporting a fast-paced production line, machine, or palletizer to create high-quality hygiene products. The Machine Operator will follow clear specifications and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure the line runs smoothly and efficiently, playing a hands-on role in driving machine performance and delivering results as part of a shift team.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Entry-level experience - 0-1 year of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, or no prior experience but a willingness to learn.
  • Basic knowledge of equipment.
  • Exposure to operating basic machinery, handling tools, or performing simple tasks on a production line is beneficial.
  • Basic math/literacy.
  • Computer basics.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and support a fast-paced production line, machine, or palletizer.
  • Follow clear specifications and SOPs.
  • Keep the line running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Drive strong machine performance and deliver great results.
  • Ensure a safe, healthy, and sustainable work environment.
  • Work within Essity safety standards with a responsibility for others.
  • Run the machine and watch the process, adjusting as necessary according to Essity Continuous Improvement Systems.
  • Consult with Team Leader or skilled operators if required.
  • Order and prepare raw materials or products for palletizing and install them on the machine according to SOPs.
  • Maintain adequate communication with previous and next shift as well as with other persons involved in running the machine.
  • Maintain an optimal housekeeping situation.
  • Support others in operating activities.
  • Secure the quality level of the products by regular checking against the product specification, rejecting or blocking if necessary.
  • Complete all required documentation and data files during production.
