About The Position

BOSS Snowplow, a division of The Toro Company, is hiring a Machine Operator in Iron Mountain, Michigan. The role involves processing steel plate, sheet, and structural shapes, as well as copper bus, using a range of machine operations. The operator also performs machine maintenance and cleaning and completes inspections required by the Quality System.

The starting wage is $18.97 per hour, plus a 5% shift differential, for a stated rate of $19.92. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.; overtime may cause hours to vary.

Requirements

• Read blueprints.
• Use measuring tools and devices.
• High school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

• Vocational training or previous experience in a machine operating setting is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Shear, saw, laser cut, plasma cut, bend, roll, drill, tap, punch, cope, wire brush, de-burr, and grind steel plate, sheet, and structural shapes as required.
• Form, cut, bend, punch, and drill copper bus as required.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and cleaning on each machine as required.
• Perform first-article and other piece-part inspections as required by the Quality System.
