About The Position

BOSS Snowplow, a division of The Toro Company, is hiring a Machine Operator in Iron Mountain, Michigan. The role operates equipment to process steel plate, sheet, and structural shapes, as well as copper bus, according to the Employer’s requirements. The operator performs scheduled machine maintenance and cleaning and conducts first-article and other piece-part inspections under the applicable Quality System.

The listed starting wage is $19.91, plus a 5% shift differential of $1.00, for a stated total of $20.91 per hour. The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.; overtime may cause hours to vary.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to use measuring tools and devices.

Nice To Haves

• Vocational training or previous experience in a machine operating setting is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Shear, saw, laser cut, plasma cut, bend, roll, drill, tap, punch, cope, wire brush, deburr, and grind steel plate, sheet, and structural shapes as required.
• Form, cut, bend, punch, and drill copper bus as required.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and cleaning on each machine as required by the Employer.
• Perform first-article and other piece-part inspections as required by the Quality System.
