About The Position

United Direct Solutions is seeking a Machine Operator for their Louisville, Kentucky location. This role is responsible for safely and efficiently operating mailing equipment to ensure the highest quality of processing for customers. The position requires adherence to job ticket instructions, quality standards, and customer specifications. The operator will also be responsible for equipment setup, quality checks, general maintenance, and maintaining a clean workspace. Participation in department meetings and continuous improvement events is also expected.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Mechanical aptitude
Basic math skills
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

Nice To Haves

One year of mail equipment experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred, but not necessary.
Machine operating: 1 year (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Effectively perform mail equipment processing – converting post-press product into finished product by following job ticket instructions.
Ensure that mail equipment is operating efficiently while producing product that conforms to a quality standard.
Accurately setup equipment to meet specific customer requirements.
Perform and document quality checks to ensure compliance with company standards and customer specifications.
Retrieve cores, boxes, and other supplies and materials for the equipment and daily operation.
Inspect equipment for defects and perform general maintenance duties, as necessary.
Ability to read and understand written instructions and job tickets, as well as comprehend verbal instructions.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Participate in department meetings, training, and continuous improvement events.
Other duties as assigned.
