About The Position

At Stone Systems, we are looking for a Machine Operator for our Shop located in Fairfield, NJ. This role offers the opportunity to work in a multinational environment that is expanding and involved in numerous challenging projects. The Machine Operator will be responsible for preparing and performing various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on assigned machines/equipment.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge in math (adding, subtracting, measurements, etc)
• Basic knowledge in maintenance
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs.
• High School Diploma/GED

Nice To Haves

• Experience in fabricating Marble, Granite and Quartz
• Experience in Construction, Industrial and Manufacturing fields
• Experience operating a forklift

Responsibilities

• Fabricate edges, sides, corner radius, angles and sink cutouts using tools required in the process
• Verify all pieces were checked, fabricated and returned to the same cart number and checked in the tracking sheet as complete
• Meet daily productivity goals
• Verify quality of finished workpieces by inspecting, comparing to templates and measuring their dimensions
• Record product and process data on specified forms when needed
• Assist in minor repair and maintenance on assigned equipment
• Wearing all Personal Protective Equipment (safety glasses, earplugs, waterproof, face mask, etc.)
• Assuring all work area is cleaned and organized
