Machine Operator - Weekend Day Shift

About The Position

This position is responsible for planning and verifying materials to be used, operating all required machines and equipment, interpreting complex blueprints and drawings, inspecting completed parts, using material handling equipment and completing required documentation. The schedule for this role is Friday - Sunday, 5AM - 5PM.

Requirements

• A related machine trades certificate/diploma and one-year relevant experience, OR, two years relevant experience.
• Intermediate ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Intermediate math skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Experience with machine tooling and measuring tools.
• Basic experience programming CNC machines.
• Experience using material handling equipment, including hoists.

Nice To Haves

• Proficient PC skills in a Windows environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and verify materials to be used and operations to be performed on each job.
• Operate all required machines and equipment, including lathes, mills, grinders and boring machines in order to produce high quality parts.
• Interpret complex blueprints and drawings and follow manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Inspect completed parts to ensure conformance to quality specifications, using gauges, microscopes and other measuring tools as required. Follow procedures as needed to address non-conformities.
• Use material handling equipment to move materials and parts throughout the shop.
• Complete required documentation for all jobs responsible for.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment, adhering to 5S principles.
• Other duties as assigned.
