About The Position

Concorde Battery Georgia Corporation is hiring for the position of a Grid Casting Machine Operator. This role involves operating multiple machines in the casting department, adhering to company environmental, health, and safety policies, including wearing proper PPE. The successful candidate will work towards meeting department and company goals and will report any mechanical issues to the supervisor.

Requirements

Basic degree or high school education
Read, write and speak English
Punctual and reliable
Must complete pre-employment physical/drug screen
Stand for long periods of time
Work a 4/10 schedule, start time 5:30AM
Reach, Carry, bend/stoop, push/pull
Lift up to 70 pounds
Wearing a respirator and other required personal protective equipment (PPE)

Responsibilities

Operate multiple machines in the casting department.
Follow company environmental, health, and safety policies.
Wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
Meet department and company goals.
Report any mechanical issues to the supervisor.
Perform various tasks while operating a grid casting machine.
Follow oral and/or written instructions.
Adjust machine speed for optimum quality product and production rates.
Spray grid mold to meet quality specifications.
Report production numbers at end of shift.
Work in a hot environment (>100 degrees Fahrenheit).
Make coordinated movements of the fingers to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
Read numbers and letters.
Work with and around hazardous materials.
