About The Position

Belmark is hiring a Machine Operator at its Flexible Packaging plant in Shawano, Wisconsin. The role operates packaging equipment to produce packaging solutions for customers. Operators set up and adjust machines, stage materials, monitor product quality, conduct quality assurance testing, collect data, and complete paperwork. The position works within a team and may assist other departments as needed. A pre-employment drug test and background check are required if an offer is made. The schedule is three consecutive 12-hour days followed by four consecutive days off, from 4:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. This is a consistent second-shift schedule, not a swing shift. Starting pay is $23.53 per hour, with a $2.00 shift differential. Some overtime may be required.

Requirements

Education equivalent to two years of high school.
Knowledge of and ability to effectively use the English language.
Ability to use a ruler, calculator, and various hand tools.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers.
Regular attendance is required.

Responsibilities

Set up machines, make machine adjustments, and stage materials when needed.
Ensure top quality during production runs by performing quality assurance testing, collecting data, and completing administrative functions.
Inspect printed film for acceptable quality and complete the appropriate paperwork.
Pay close attention to detail and use problem-solving skills.
Work within a team environment.
Help out in other departments as needed.
