About The Position

The Machine Operator position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of production bulk machinery to safely and accurately process orders per schedule.

Requirements

• Safe and efficient operation of production bulk machinery
• Ability to safely and accurately process orders per schedule
• Ability to read and understand daily production schedule
• Ability to perform minor troubleshooting on the automatic 2000 lb. tote filler
• Ability to work in coordination with forklift driver
• Ability to communicate with management and maintenance personnel
• Compliance with company safety policies
• Maintenance of a clean and orderly work area
• Compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures
• Timely and accurate documentation of required SQF forms

Responsibilities

• Operate a bulk sewing machine to produce 50- or 100-lb bags of product.
• Read and understand daily production schedule.
• Operate the automatic 2000 lb. tote filler and perform minor troubleshooting.
• Work in coordination with forklift driver for removal of completed product off the line.
• Communicate with management and maintenance personnel promptly to facilitate maintenance and repairs.
• Comply with company safety policies and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures, including timely and accurate documentation of required SQF forms.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
