About The Position

MITER Brands is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Machine Operator to join our Pultrusion Manufacturing team in Tacoma, WA. In this role, you will support the production of high-quality fiberglass lineal products by operating equipment, using hand and power tools, and ensuring all work meets quality and productivity standards. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn manufacturing processes.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools safely.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, and fractions.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

• 1+ year of experience in manufacturing, production, machine operation, warehouse, fabrication, fiberglass, composites, or industrial painting environments.
• Experience working with production equipment or automated machinery.
• Knowledge of quality and safety standards in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing equipment and support fiberglass pultrusion production processes.
• Follow standardized work instructions and production specifications to ensure quality products.
• Measure, inspect, and verify product dimensions using measuring tools, including tape measures.
• Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain production goals related to quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery.
• Perform routine material handling and movement of product throughout the production process.
• Identify and report quality concerns, equipment issues, or safety hazards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with housekeeping and safety standards.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
