About The Position

This position operates machinery to maintain the continuous flow of product through the production process and ensures the correct ingredients and supplies are used on the line. The operator monitors and adjusts machine settings as needed and notifies a supervisor if a machine requires maintenance, while maintaining a safe work environment and following Tyson policies and procedures. The role requires proficiency in reading and writing, completing on-the-job paperwork, and communicating effectively across all management levels. The successful candidate must be able to perform the physical requirements of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation. Work takes place in a cold, damp environment with slippery walking surfaces and involves standing on hard floors for 8–10 hours, repetitive motions, and other physical activities. This position is intended for team members currently working at this facility or complex. Team members interested in transferring from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner. Internal application requirements include at least 90 days in the current position, no suspensions or more than three written warnings in the past year, and fewer than four attendance points at the time of application. A team member who withdraws an application or declines a position once is restricted from applying to additional positions for six months.

Requirements

Proficiency in reading and writing.
Ability to complete on-the-job paperwork and communicate effectively across all management levels.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, stretch, climb, push, pull, and reach as required.
Ability to stand for 8–10 hours on hard floors.
Ability to perform repetitive motions as required.
Ability to work in a cold, damp environment and on slippery walking surfaces.
For internal applicants: must have been in the current position for 90 days.
For internal applicants: must not have a suspension or more than three written warnings within the past year.
For internal applicants: must have fewer than four attendance points at the time of application.
