About The Position

The Machine Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC Machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines, adjusting machine settings to complete tasks according to specifications and production demands, and reading and interpreting machining instructions, job orders, and blueprints. The role also involves operating various hand-operated tools related to steel fabrication, maintaining equipment, performing daily inspections, cleaning and maintaining the workstation, and carrying out material handler duties as needed. Regular and timely attendance is essential.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Basic mathematics skills and be able to read a measuring tape.
  • Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Must be able to push or pull cart with 80 pounds of force.
  • Team oriented.
  • Communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment.
  • Ability to obtain and operate mobile equipment needed to perform essential functions.

Responsibilities

  • Setup and operate CNC Machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
  • Adjust machine setting to complete tasks according to specifications and production demands.
  • Read and interpret machining instructions, job orders, and blueprints to determine dimensional specifications, sequences of operations, setups, and tool requirements.
  • Operation of various handoperated tools related to steel fabrication.
  • Maintain equipment and performs daily inspections of equipment.
  • Clean and maintain workstation to be used daily in the production process.
  • Material handler duties as needed.
  • Regular, timely attendance to meet organizational needs in an efficient and effective manner.
