About The Position
Merchants Metals is one of the largest manufacturers and distributors of fence systems in North America, with a 60-year legacy. They are seeking a Machine Operator to join their team. The role involves learning their processing and setting up specific machinery like the Bergandi, Precision, and Manual keyboard Bergandi. Requirements
- Minimum one year of work experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Must be able to work in a team-based, positive, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
- Pull out rolls from weaving machines
- Build pallet for finish good products (ALZD, GBW & Vinyl)
- Build pallets for GAW products (BLK rolls)
- Replenish material (Wood, hog rings, strap & clips)
- Clean the take-up area and packaging area
- Change & weld wire for weaving machines
- Turn back to the operating weaving machine when adjustments are not needed
- Basic Operation Types of weaving machines (Bergandi, Precision & Manual keyboard Bergandi)
- Make sure all machine guards are always in place
- Fix a nest issue between the cutting system and the main setup
- Tread the wire in the blade
- Adjust the blade in the correct position to have a good cut
- Adjust tension bracket and tension Killers
- Perform autonomous maintenance to the turret system (Grease and oil)
- Perform adjustments on the turret system for a good Knuckle or twist
