About The Position

E.D. Etnyre & Co., a family-owned and growing manufacturer of road maintenance and transportation equipment, is hiring a Machine Operator for its Oregon, Illinois location. The role involves hands-on machining work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, producing quality equipment that supports road construction. The position is on the first shift, Monday through Friday, from 4:45 AM to 1:15 PM, with a stated workweek of 40–50 hours. Daily overtime opportunities and voluntary Saturday overtime are available. Pay is $19.50–$25.04 per hour, based on experience, and the position is eligible for an annual bonus.

Requirements

• Ability to use precision measurement tools.
• Solid attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Willingness to learn through hands-on experience or on-the-job training.

• General knowledge of machining techniques.
• Blueprint-reading knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines such as lathes, drill presses, milling machines, and grinders.
• Perform repetitive machining tasks to meet production goals.
• Follow blueprints, instructions, and standard procedures.
• Use precision measuring tools to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Assist with additional production duties as needed.
