About The Position

We have an exciting opportunity for a Machine Operator at our growing facility in Grand Prairie, TX. Dallas Airfoil Repair Operations, a recognized leader in the refurbishment of aero-engine and Industrial Gas Turbine airfoils, is seeking dedicated and motivated individuals to join our team. This position is available on the first shift (5:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.).

Requirements

  • HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US)

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in the use of machine tools and precision measuring instruments.
  • Aerospace industry experience.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience with SAP or similar enterprise software.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a variety of Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) and manual machines to restore aero-engine turbine airfoil components to their original form, fit, and function.
  • Set up and operate basic machine tools to repair, make minor alterations, and produce less complex tooling while maintaining high-quality standards. This includes making minor machine offset adjustments (if required) under supervision.
  • Read and interpret blueprints as well as work from written and verbal instructions.
  • Frequently utilize measuring devices and determine product compliance with blueprint specifications.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, service, and repair of equipment in the assigned area when issues are identified, documenting the results.
  • Maintain records by completing check sheets, recording dimensional data on run charts, and completing Daily Walk Around (DWA) inspections while using a communication log.
  • Move frequently along the machine line to operate various manufacturing equipment (approximately 90% of the time).
  • Transport product or equipment weighing up to 10 pounds as needed.
  • Perform other duties as necessary to meet the needs of the facility.
