About The Position

As a Machine Operator, you would be responsible for preparing and performing various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on assigned machines/equipment. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position after 180 days, working the 1st shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. The pay starts at $19.00 - $23.00 per hour, with adjustments based on experience.

Requirements

Basic knowledge in math (adding, subtracting, measurements, reading measuring tapes, etc.).
Basic knowledge in maintenance.
Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs.
This job requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
Must be able to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the required employment eligibility verification (Form I-9) upon hire.
Completion of a background check and/or drug screening may be required as a condition of employment.

Nice To Haves

Experience in fabricating Marble, Granite, and Quartz.
Experience in Construction, Industrial, and Manufacturing fields.
Experience operating a forklift.

Responsibilities

Prepare and perform various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on assigned machines/equipment.
Fabricate edges, sides, corner radius, angles, and sink cutouts using tools required in the process.
Verify all pieces were checked, fabricated, and returned to the same cart number and checked in the tracking sheet as complete.
Meet daily productivity goals.
Verify quality of finished workpieces by inspecting, comparing to templates, and measuring their dimensions.
Record product and process data on specified forms when needed.
Assist in minor repair and maintenance on assigned equipment.
Wear all Personal Protective Equipment (safety glasses, earplugs, waterproof boots, face mask, etc.).
Assure all work areas are cleaned and organized.
