About The Position
We’re seeking a skilled Machine Operators to join our manufacturing team in extrusion and compression molding departments. In this role, you'll be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining equipment in alignment with our quality, safety, and production standards. If you’re mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement, we want to hear from you.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Basic mechanical aptitude with experience using hand/power tools and measuring instruments
- Understanding of raw materials, production flow, and quality control practices
- Computer proficiency, especially in ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety
Nice To Haves
- OSHA-certified forklift operation experience (stand-up and walk-behind trucks), preferred
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate equipment according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), schedules, and order specifications.
- Coordinate with setup operators during teardowns and new setups.
- Continuously monitor equipment, materials, and environmental conditions to detect issues and ensure smooth operation. Make real-time adjustments as needed.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet customer and internal quality standards. Document all findings and take corrective action when necessary.
- Accurately record production data using production systems and following all required documentation protocols.
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning tasks to maintain machine efficiency and workplace safety (6S practices). Support general upkeep of the production area.
- Follow all company safety protocols, SOPs, Control Plans, and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) to ensure a safe work environment.
- Support the team with additional tasks, including training new employees and assisting with process improvements.
- Operate forklifts and powered hand trucks to load materials and transport finished goods.
- Perform operator-level preventive maintenance on machines and tools.
