About The Position

Charter Steel is hiring for a Machine Operator on the night shift. This is a full-time opportunity with a $2,000 sign-on bonus. The role involves operating a wire draw machine to create finished products, packaging steel coils, entering information into a computer, and transporting coils using a forklift. Charter Steel is a fourth-generation, family-owned business with a strong emphasis on growth, employee development, and safety.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Quick learners who enjoy working with their hands
• Strong teamwork skills and excellent attendance
• Ability to follow safety instructions and maintain high standards
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for a full shift
• Background in manufacturing or industrial production, assembly, machining, set-up, metals industry

Nice To Haves

• Forklift experience is a plus
• Support through our free GED Works program if you don't have a High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Operate a wire draw machine to create finished products
• Work as a team to support other draw operators
• Package steel coils to meet customer specifications
