About The Position

Marmon Utility is hiring a Machine Operator to set up, operate, and monitor wire drawing, wire stranding, and extrusion equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for maintaining production, quality, and safety standards while minimizing downtime and waste. Requirements

No prior machine operation experience required - we provide paid on-the-job training for all new employees.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Ability to use measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers
Basic math skills required
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Nice To Haves

Candidates with experience as a Machine Operator, Extrusion Operator, Production Operator, Manufacturing Operator, or Equipment Operator are encouraged to apply (higher pay dependent on experience).

Responsibilities

Perform visual inspections to ensure product quality and workplace safety
Operate production equipment according to established procedures and work instructions.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Ability to safely handle reels, spools, hand tools, and measuring equipment
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
Work safely around manufacturing equipment and moving machinery
