About The Position

Techmer PM is seeking a Machine Operator at its Batavia, Illinois facility. The role operates key manufacturing equipment to produce plastic compounds for specialized customer applications. The operator works safely by following standard operating procedures, participates in process measurement, control, and improvement, and learns the operating parameters needed to deliver in-specification, high-quality products.

The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Training takes place on either first or second shift until the employee transitions to the permanent schedule, no later than January 4. Pay starts at $21.00 per hour, depending on experience, with a shift differential of $1.50, increasing to $2.00 beginning January 4.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift 55 pounds frequently.
• Ability to learn the functionality of plant equipment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of operating an extruder or mixing equipment.
• Ability to learn pre- and post-production equipment and operations, including drying, bagging, and grinding.
• General mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot problems.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Extrusion experience is highly desired.
