Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Proficiency in mathematics and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating CNC machines and forklifts
  • Knowledge of steel manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with quality control procedures
  • Commitment to safety culture and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently operate a variety of production machinery including CNC machines, drills, grinders, forklifts, and burners to manufacture high-quality steel parts accurately and safely. Daily tasks involve setting up, running, and monitoring machines to meet production targets. Success means consistently producing parts within specifications and timeframes. Minimal travel may be required for training or cross-site support.
  • Read and analyze blueprints and technical specifications to guide machining processes, ensuring parts meet required dimensions and tolerances. This involves attention to detail and precision in daily operations.
  • Monitor production processes, document exceptions or issues, and promptly address problems to maintain high quality and safety standards. Success is measured by low defect rates and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Work closely with shop employees and report directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor to ensure smooth operations and effective communication throughout the production process.
  • Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.
