About The Position

This position is responsible for operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of product through the production process and ensuring proper ingredients/supplies are being used on the line. Responsible for monitoring and adjusting machine settings as needed and notifying the supervisor if machines require maintenance, while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The Box Machine Operator lifts stacks of flat cartons from a pallet placed near the machines and places them into each of the two box-making machines. As the machines form boxes, the operator monitors the operation of the equipment to ensure good boxes are being produced, makes adjustments as needed, and will remove any box jams if they occur. Should the equipment fail, the Box Machine Operator will assist in making boxes by hand until repairs to the equipment are finalized. This position is responsible for the general upkeep of the equipment during the shift, including keeping the equipment free of debris and glue build-ups. Other duties include the general upkeep of the box machine room area and any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Must complete an on-line job application in Workday.
  • Must have 6 months continuous work history in 2 years.

  • Performing other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
