Machine Operators are responsible to operate the machines to ensure a continuous flow of product to the production processing lines. This role sets up, monitors, and adjusts machine settings as needed throughout production shifts using computer screens.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED and Previous experience in a manufacturing setting or a related position.
Demonstrated ability to operate machinery.
Ability to troubleshoot issues on the machine.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to collaborate with others and work independently.
Ability to identify key details.
Ability to troubleshoot.
Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the food manufacturing industry preferred.

Responsibilities

Operation of Combination Scales. This includes setting up machine to make a certain weight to be packaged; trouble shooting for overweight or underweight issues; trouble shooting to avoid wrong dumps and case of rework/defective product.
Operation of Bagger Machines. This includes setting up packaging machine to form a bag; trouble shooting for defective seals and appearance; maintain efficiencies on machines by maintaining machines running; and other activities such as preparing files, materials, tools, formers, inspection checks, etc.
Communicating in the work environment, keeping other team members informed of any issues or problems that arise in the operation of the machine. This includes supervisor(s) and/or maintenance should the machines require maintenance during the working shift.
