About The Position

Machine Operators at Tyson Foods operate machinery to maintain the continuous flow of product through the production process, confirm that the correct ingredients and supplies are being used, and sanitize equipment. They monitor and adjust machine settings as needed and notify a supervisor if maintenance is required, while maintaining a safe work environment and following Tyson policies and procedures. Positions may be in any department of the meat processing facility and may include equipment sanitation. Applicants may be considered for Extended Run (Sanitation), Machine Operator, Oven Operator, Relief Operator, Spice Room Operator, or Utility Operator openings, subject to availability. Leveling and pay depend on the availability of a relevant labor-level job.

Requirements

• At least 3 months of work experience with the same employer listed on the application.
• Proficiency in reading and writing.
• Ability to complete on-the-job paperwork and communicate effectively across all management levels.
• Willingness and ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, including lifting up to 50 pounds; standing, walking, bending, squatting, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching; standing 8–10 hours on hard floors; and performing repetitive motions.
• Ability to work in a cold environment in the mid-30s Fahrenheit, a damp environment, and on slippery walking surfaces.
