This role is responsible for operating CNC machines to produce parts that meet required specifications and delivery timelines. The Machine Operator will monitor machining operations, make adjustments to maintain consistent performance and throughput, and accurately record part movement, run time, and material usage in the ERP system. Additionally, they will identify and recommend process improvements to increase equipment utilization and reduce cycle times. The position also involves verifying part quality by inspecting machined components, changing tooling, fixtures, and setups as needed, troubleshooting machining issues, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts. Maintaining equipment through routine preventive maintenance and following all safety policies and procedures are also key aspects of this role. Housekeeping and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area are expected. Collaboration with team members to identify and address potential risks is important. The role also requires fostering open communication and knowledge-sharing, upholding company values, recommending and implementing best practices, and maintaining professional interactions with customers and vendors. Overtime may be required, and additional duties may be assigned.
