About The Position

Concorde Battery Georgia Corporation is hiring for the position of a Grid Casting Machine Operator. The successful candidate will operate multiple machines in the casting department, following company environmental, health, and safety policies, including wearing proper PPE. The candidate will strive to meet department and company goals and report any mechanical issues to the supervisor.

Requirements

• Ability to perform various tasks while operating a grid casting machine.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work a 4/10 schedule, start time 5:30 AM.
• Ability to adjust machine speed for optimum quality product and production rates.
• Ability to spray grid mold to meet quality specifications.
• Ability to report production numbers at end of shift.
• Ability to work in a hot environment (>100 degrees Fahrenheit).
• Ability to reach, carry, bend/stoop, push/pull.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to make coordinated movements of the fingers to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
• Ability to wear a respirator and other required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ability to read numbers and letters.
• Ability to work with and around hazardous materials.
• Basic degree or high school education.
• Read, write and speak English.
• Punctual and reliable.
• Must complete pre-employment physical/drug screen.
