First Shift Machine Operator (3:00AM-3:30APM, Monday-Thursday)
About The Position
We are Techmer PM — the world’s foremost materials design firm, creating custom polymers that make up essential products. Through our long-standing partnerships with processors, original equipment manufacturers, and product designers, we’ve worked for decades to tackle manufacturing and business challenges through sustainable, future-minded solutions. We are currently seeking a Machine Operator for our Rancho Dominguez, California facility. This position will be on the 1st shift which is 3:00AM-3:30PM, Monday through Thursday. Pay rate is $21.97 per hour and up depending on experience.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Strong communication skills
- Basic knowledge of running an extruder or mixing equipment.
- Ability to learn pre and post production equipment and operations (drying, bagging, grinding etc.)
- General mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot problems
Responsibilities
- Operate all key manufacturing equipment to produce plastic compounds for unique and specialty customer applications.
- Works safely to protect themselves, their coworkers, and the facility by following all standard operating procedures.
- Engaged in process measurement, control, and improvement in all aspects of their assigned tasks.
- Learns and understands key operating parameters which ensure that only in specification and high-quality product is delivered to our customers.
