About The Position

The Machine Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating machinery in accordance with specified Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standard Manufacturing Procedures (SMPs). This role involves making necessary adjustments during filling to ensure product quality, resupplying raw materials, and performing moderate mechanical repairs on various equipment. The operator will maintain a clean and orderly work area in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company policies, ensuring products are correctly identified and produced according to procedure. This position requires meeting daily production goals, working overtime and weekends as needed, and completing production records. The operator must be able to operate multiple pieces of filling equipment within the Terminal Fill area and adhere to all safety rules and regulations. Other duties as assigned by operations will also be part of this role.

Requirements

Must be able to read, write, analyze/evaluate charts, follow simple diagrams and follow testing and inspection procedures.
Must be able to maintain neat, accurate and complete records and logs and use calibration equipment.
Mechanical aptitude used to control machine operations including minor equipment repair, identification of problems and correcting problems.
Must be able to focus continuous attention to detail with operations requiring some diversification in approach to fairly routine processes.
Lifting/moving 1-5 lbs. over 70% of the time.
Lifting/moving 5-25 lbs. 40-70 % of the time.
High School graduate & 12 months Manufacturing Experience.
Familiarity with Personal Computers and basic use of a Windows environment, Microsoft Office Package preferred.
Must possess good written, oral communication and interpersonal skills.
Must drive.
Should have steel toe shoes.

Responsibilities

Sets up and operates machine in accordance with specified SOPs & SMPs.
Makes adjustments, as necessary, during filling to assure product is being produced.
Resupplies raw materials to machine, as frequency requires.
Makes moderate mechanical repairs to Bio-Meds, J-Machine, Autoclave, K-Line, etc.
Maintains machinery and area in a clean and orderly manner in compliance with GMP and Company Policies.
Assures product is produced and lot identified according to procedure.
Responsible for meeting daily production goals and for working overtime when necessary to meet demands.
Completes production records.
Must possess ability to operate multiple pieces of Filling equipment within Terminal Fill area.
Follows safety rules and regulations per company policies.
Performs other duties as operation requires or as directed.
