As an SMT Operator at Rocket EMS, you will build high-reliability PCB assemblies by setting up, operating, and monitoring SMT production equipment. Equipment includes screen printers, solder paste inspection (SPI) systems, pick-and-place machines, and reflow ovens. The work requires strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and adherence to precise build documentation in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment. Assemblies must meet IPC-A-610 Class 2 and 3 workmanship standards. The role also involves verifying machine and feeder setups, checking production quality, completing basic equipment maintenance, recording production information, and supporting other production areas as directed. The schedule is an 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday, with overtime and weekend work as needed. The stated pay range is $20–$23 USD. Due to the nature of Rocket EMS's work, the position may require access to export-controlled technical data or technology. The successful candidate must be eligible to access such information under applicable U.S. export-control laws or be eligible for any required government authorization. Rocket EMS considers qualified applicants with criminal histories consistently with the California Fair Chance Act; candidates need not disclose criminal history or participate in a background check unless a conditional offer has been made. A final offer may be conditioned on a background check, consistent with applicable law.
