About The Position
Eaton's FFD Fluid Filtration Division is currently seeking a Machine Operator for the 3rd Shift. This role is responsible for producing quality parts efficiently and safely. The core hours for this position are 11:00 pm - 7:00 am, with a shift differential of $0.50 per hour. Salaries are determined by candidate skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions.
Requirements
- A minimum one (1) year of experience in an operations/manufacturing environment
- Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- Basic computer and software skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a plastics or extrusion operations/manufacturing environment
Responsibilities
- Producing a quality part efficiently
- Starting up and operating extrusion equipment safely and properly
- Producing quality parts consistently and efficiently
- Setting up jobs utilizing the proper installation of dies, adapters, breaker plates and screen packs
- Taking necessary steps to leave extruder and downstream equipment ready for next job
- Cleaning screw installation
- Complying with all Environment, Health, & Safety (EHS) standards
- Complying with all work and process instructions
- Identifying improvement opportunities
- Utilizing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for each task associated with the job
- Working safely and reporting all near misses, illnesses, and injuries following established procedures
- Completing any initial or recurring training issued by the site or Eaton
