Machine Operator-Multiple Shifts!
About The Position
Copperweld is hiring multiple Machine Operators across different operational levels to set up, operate, and maintain machinery used to manufacture bimetallic wire products. The role is in a safety-critical, heavy industrial environment. Operators follow safety protocols and use equipment efficiently, precisely, and safely to meet quality and productivity standards. Work settings may involve noise, vibration, and extreme temperatures. Training on first shift may be required before transitioning to an off-shift role. Available schedules include second shift (3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m.), third shift (11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.), and rotating 12-hour weekday or weekend day and night schedules. Starting pay is $20+ per hour for off-shift work, with shift premiums of up to $5 per hour and a $1,000 sign-on bonus. Benefits begin on day one. Candidates must successfully pass drug screening and background checks.
Requirements

- Be able to utilize ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems, including manufacturing or quality software.
- Successfully pass drug screening and background checks.
- Meet the physical requirements of the position, including frequent standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, body rotation, reaching, repetitive motion, and use of fine motor skills and visual acuity.
Nice To Haves
- Prior manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Forklift license is required if operating a forklift.
Responsibilities
- Follow machine-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Set up machines and maintain continuous machine operation.
- Monitor machine settings and record production and scrap.
- Conduct and document quality testing.
- May operate a forklift; a license is required for forklift operation.
- Adhere to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
