Machine Operator - Nights
About The Position
The Machine Operator works safely on the production floor, operating machinery and ensuring finished products meet food safety and quality requirements. The role reports to the Production Supervisor and works 6:00 PM–6:00 AM on a 2-2-3 schedule. The hourly rate is $24.90, with a $1.50 shift differential. The position is based in North Mankato, Minnesota. Manufacturing conditions may include high noise levels and varying temperatures. Physical tasks may include standing and walking around the facility, climbing stairs or ladders, kneeling for extended periods, repetitive work, and frequently lifting, pushing, or carrying materials.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in food manufacturing or general manufacturing.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule.
Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot production equipment to maintain continuous production flow.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized production area.
- Perform hourly quality checks, including verifying lot and sell-by codes.
- Maintain an understanding of processing specifications and electronic inventory tracking systems.
- Order and receive materials to support production needs.
- Perform sanitation, preventative maintenance, and basic corrective maintenance on production equipment.
- Complete required documentation.
