About The Position

The Machine Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of assigned production equipment while ensuring all work is performed in accordance with company policies, safety standards, quality requirements, and established production procedures. The Machine Operator is accountable to the Production Supervisor and may provide day-to-day guidance, training, and direction to employees assigned to their machine to ensure productivity, quality, and safety expectations are met.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to read and follow written instructions and production documents.
Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.

Prior work experience in the corrugated industry.

Responsibilities

Safely operate and set up assigned production equipment in accordance with company procedures.
Maximize machine efficiency while meeting production schedules and output goals.
Perform machine adjustments as needed to maintain productivity and product quality.
Cross-train on additional equipment as required.
Monitor production throughout each run to ensure products meet customer specifications and company quality standards.
Inspect product quality, perform setup verifications, make necessary adjustments, and collect required quality samples.
Complete all required production, quality, and operational documentation accurately and on time.
Follow all company safety policies and promote safe work practices.
Perform routine equipment inspections, identify maintenance needs, and report repairs promptly.
Maintain assigned machinery and work area in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
Maintain effective communication with the Production Supervisor and team members to ensure efficient workflow.
Provide day-to-day guidance and training to employees assigned to the machine.
Support production goals through collaboration and perform other duties as assigned.
