About The Position

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Machine Operator - 3rd Shift to join our team in Reno, NV! The core hours are Monday through Friday from 10 pm - 6:330 am. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. The rate for this position is $22.73 per hour + $1.00 per hour shift differential. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, qualifications, and market and business considerations.

Requirements

  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • Ability to operate machinery and presses safely.
  • Ability to read, accurately interpret, and produce parts from blueprints and shop drawings.
  • Ability to identify different gauges and types of raw material.
  • Ability to accurately read tape measure, scales, and calipers.
  • Ability to work effectively and productively as member of a team with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Six (6) months + of experience with forming or bending machines.
  • Six (6) months + of experience reading drawings or blueprints.
  • Experience confirming that parts conform to specs using measuring tools.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and proficiently operate assigned machines/presses.
  • Troubleshoot various machinery problems.
  • Identify and tag tubs according to shop orders.
  • QC and document all parts run on machines.
  • Retrieve and enter data into SAP computer system.
  • Inventory components and supplies as needed to ensure efficient and timely production.
  • Keep work areas clean and safe.
  • Other various duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.
