Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Able to communicate in English to understanding the job terminology.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and manufacturing orders. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs multiple times every day, and lift at least 50 lbs regularly.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 to 3 years related experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred, or any manufacturing industry required

Responsibilities

  • Move and transfer ingredients by hand, cart, or forklift
  • Document temperature and machine readings with accuracy
  • Regularly handle objects weighing up to 50+ lbs in a frequent basis.
  • Responsible for machine start up, shut down and changeover procedures.
  • Verify that screens on sifters are in good condition and are appropriate for the product that is running.
  • Record all raw materials neatly and accurately on the manufacturing order (MO).
  • Perform a wide variety of miscellaneous duties which may include sweeping, clean-up, removing garbage, taking samples and etc.
