About The Position

A Talos Machine Operator plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process, ensuring that equipment and machinery operate smoothly, and the product meets quality standards for our customers. Requirements

  • Must be able to read and understand various measuring tools such as a tape measure, calipers, or micrometers.
  • Must be able to learn and/or run at least one piece of manufacturing equipment.
  • Must be able to acquire a general understanding of quality expectations and standards.
  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints/work orders, to ensure proper components are being used in the product.
  • Must be able to lift minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift.
  • Must have a positive attitude everyday as defined by leadership and peers.
  • Must be able to set up and run multiple pieces of equipment.
  • Must be able to work independently without the direction of others, while producing quality work without defect.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot issues with assigned primary machine.
  • Must be able to train Level I Machine Operator.
  • Must be self-motivated.
  • Must have a full understanding of the manufacturing process at Talos in regard to product flow and the impact of the Machine Operator position on downstream processes.
  • Cannot have 7 or more points on attendance record.
  • Must be able to direct product and materials through the department for maximum efficiency.
  • Must understand and follow all quality protocols for the department as defined by the QC team.
  • Ability and willingness to mentor class I and class II Machine Operators.
  • Ability and willingness to set the work pace, including managing machine schedule.
  • Have knowledge or experience in other departments and actively pursue work in those areas when work is slow in your primary machine.
  • Show attention to ensuring quality products.
  • Have a positive and friendly attitude.
  • Have good communication skills.
  • Able to work efficiently with cross-functioning teams.

Responsibilities
