The Machine Operator I set up, configures, operates, cleans and performs routine operational maintenance on, Respool, wire insulation taping, glass insulation wrapping, braiding machines, NEB and Wardwell’s. This role involves reading and interpreting work orders, monitoring and adjusting machine controls, detecting product quality defects, and maintaining productivity levels. The operator will also be responsible for routine maintenance, cleaning, and reloading insulating materials. Additionally, the role includes practicing good housekeeping, safety procedures, 5S/Lean principles, and assisting in the training of entry-level operators after six months of service. There is also a training path to progress to Machine Operator II, which includes learning HH Arnolds, Binder oven, and Entry Level Extruder operations. Active engagement in daily LDM to help drive continuous improvement is also expected.
