About The Position

Labconco is seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join their manufacturing team. The role involves operating turret punch press equipment to fabricate sheet metal components for laboratory products. Requirements

Experience operating manufacturing or machining equipment
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
Experience using precision measuring instruments such as: Calipers, Micrometers, Tape measures, Thickness gauges
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to regularly lift, move, and handle materials in a manufacturing environment

Nice To Haves

Sheet metal fabrication experience
Experience operating turret punch press, punch press, CNC, laser, or similar metalworking equipment
Knowledge of manufacturing tolerances and quality standards
Previous experience in a fabrication or metalworking environment

Responsibilities

Set up and operate turret punch press equipment to fabricate sheet metal components according to specifications
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production documentation
Perform machine adjustments and tool changes as needed
Inspect finished parts for quality and conformance to specifications
Utilize precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances
Monitor machine performance and report equipment issues
Maintain accurate production and quality records
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with other manufacturing duties as assigned
