About The Position

Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Machine Operator (Packer) - Daylight to join our team in Middlesex, NC! This role will work 4 10-hour shifts from 6 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Thursday. The hourly rate for this position is $21.47 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience using computers
  • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience
  • Must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158.
  • Basic math skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well on a team.
  • Good problem-solving, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to learn and successfully operate production equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds unaided with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with computer transactions in ERP system
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in aerospace manufacturing

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and measure dimensions of tubes to verify conformance to specifications using appropriate measuring tools
  • Assemble boxes.
  • Cut hose ends and defects.
  • Make labels for hose and boxes.
  • Cut and submit samples to Quality Lab according to instructions given in a timely manner.
  • Proof test hoses
  • Use overhead hoist to move hose around cell
  • Use coiler to pack hose neatly in box
  • Record footage of each coil and place in box accurately.
  • Put finished product to appropriate areas on facility floor
  • Perform duties relative to production in the assigned area and is able to operate all equipment and machinery in the assigned area
  • Review work orders, specifications or instructions to determine material, ingredients, procedures, components and settings
  • Accurately complete computer transactions as necessary (labor & scrap transactions, inventory disbursements & cycle counts, expense items, etc.).
  • Participate in cell/team activities including, but not limited to, team meetings, problem-solving, CI events, etc.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work environment through effective housekeeping, 5S+ and TPM practices
  • Follow all plant, safety, and environmental rules and regulations.
  • Support plant lean, safety, quality and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Model the Eaton ethical conduct policy, Eaton Leadership Model, the Eaton Values and Philosophy, and comply with all other corporate, plant, and regulatory policies and regulations as applicable.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
