About The Position

Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Machine Operator (Packer) - Daylight to join our team in Middlesex, NC! This role will work 4 10-hour shifts from 6 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Thursday. The hourly rate for this position is $21.47 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 6 months experience using computers
Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience
Must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158.
Basic math skills
Good verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well on a team.
Good problem-solving, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
Strong attention to detail
Ability to learn and successfully operate production equipment
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds unaided with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of 2 years of experience with computer transactions in ERP system
Minimum of 1 year of experience working in aerospace manufacturing

Responsibilities

Inspect and measure dimensions of tubes to verify conformance to specifications using appropriate measuring tools
Assemble boxes.
Cut hose ends and defects.
Make labels for hose and boxes.
Cut and submit samples to Quality Lab according to instructions given in a timely manner.
Proof test hoses
Use overhead hoist to move hose around cell
Use coiler to pack hose neatly in box
Record footage of each coil and place in box accurately.
Put finished product to appropriate areas on facility floor
Perform duties relative to production in the assigned area and is able to operate all equipment and machinery in the assigned area
Review work orders, specifications or instructions to determine material, ingredients, procedures, components and settings
Accurately complete computer transactions as necessary (labor & scrap transactions, inventory disbursements & cycle counts, expense items, etc.).
Participate in cell/team activities including, but not limited to, team meetings, problem-solving, CI events, etc.
Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work environment through effective housekeeping, 5S+ and TPM practices
Follow all plant, safety, and environmental rules and regulations.
Support plant lean, safety, quality and continuous improvement efforts.
Model the Eaton ethical conduct policy, Eaton Leadership Model, the Eaton Values and Philosophy, and comply with all other corporate, plant, and regulatory policies and regulations as applicable.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
